A good workspace is essential, not only for productivity but also for physical health, so why not make it as comfortable and charming as possible? With more of us working from home, it’s time to create a workstation that serves all your needs and functions as the perfect temporary office! Here are some of our top tips to help transform your space.

1. Invest in a good chair

This is a real must and the foundation of any work station. There are no ‘ifs’ or ‘buts’ about it, if you spend several hours a day sitting at your desk you need a sturdy chair for comfort, and most importantly, for appropriate support.

? ad/gift ? With working from home full time, likely for the next 6 months (and probably a mixture thereafter), the study is definitely is the most used room at the moment. . ? Having spent the first 4 months of the pandemic working from a cupboard, little by little I’m now building a much more suitable home office space – my surroundings do make a difference to my mood, and so productivity: win-win. . ? It’s not quite finished yet, but I’m feeling pretty pleased with how it’s shaping up so far: new framed print magically matched with chair of dreams (modelled by my glam assistant Loki, who wasted no time sampling/claiming the new goods ?‍⬛??), rounded off by this beaut of a desk lamp… and plants oc ???‍♀️ . ? Now, will it make me love Mondays… ? . . ? 2. Get a spacious desk

Nothing is more frustrating than not having a big enough desk area. Between notebooks, laptops and coffee mugs, it seems like there’s never enough room on the desk. Getting work done is so much easier when you have the space to do it.

3. Shelves, shelves and more shelves

This comes back to optimising your workspace as much as possible. The more storage space the better. Less clutter is proven to help focus and work drive. Also, there’s something super satisfying about how an organised shelf looks.

4. Decorate your space

This obviously depends on the amount of space you have but it is really about what you make of it. Something as simple as a few plants and cushions can really elevate and liven up your workstation.
