1. GALWAY CARTOON FESTIVAL
The Galway Cartoon Festival is an international celebration of funny drawings, hosted in Ireland’s most sociable city. Along with the main exhibitions, the Cartoon Festival will feature live caricature sessions, a schools’ cartoon workshop and competition. This year’s theme is ‘Science’ as it takes place alongside the Galway Science & Technology Festival 2019, with exhibitions in the Bailey Allen Hall in NUIG this Friday at 4pm. The 2019 Galway Cartoon Festival runs over 11 days and showcases some of the most talented cartoonists from Ireland and abroad across 6 venues throughout Galway city. 2. GALWAY: SHORT SHORTS FROM EUROPE FILM FESTIVAL
Enjoy an entertaining screening of European short films. The EUNIC Ireland cluster (European Union National Institutes for Culture) presents a selection from 9 participating countries at the IFI in Dublin, Pálás in Galway and the Cork Film Festival (The Gate). Discover great shorts from Ireland, Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain and theUnited Kingdom. The audience will be asked to vote for their favourite film after the screenings. 3. FREE FROM… COOKING CLASS AT SLIEVE AUGHTY
