Keeping it Country with Afternoon Tea at the g

The fun kicks off at 3pm with a sparkling reception in the grand salon followed by an afternoon tea of delicious treats from the creative culinary team at the g in the perfect setting of their luxurious function room. Sit back and relax while singer Marc Roberts entertains you with his music and talent. Guests are sure to be lucky with a prize for each table and everyone will enjoy country and bluegrass tunes from local group, Take Two late into the evening. Tickets are limited and cost €50 with proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute research team based at the Lambe Institute, NUI Galway. The Galway Christmas Market

The Galway Christmas Market was dearly missed last year and that is why are welcoming it back with open arms. With over 50 wooden chalets lining the square offering scrumptious seasonal treats and a large variety of crafts, it really is a sight to behold. Delight yourself with views of the market with the Ferris wheel, test your skills with the games before finding shelter with a stein in the beer tent. The Galway Christmas Market is the emblem of festive cheer and it will be gracing Eyre Square for five weeks.

Red Riding Hood At The Helix

Live pantos are also making a welcomed return this year with the Helix Red Riding Hood kicking off on Friday, 26th November. Returning with all the wit, magic and fun that was missed last year, this year promises to be another hilarious production for all the family to enjoy with eye catching sets, song and dance! Join Red as she journeys through the enchanting pantosphere. Will she finally realise her true destiny and save Fairytale Land from the clutches of the darkness? Due to the success of last years online panto, primary schools across the country will experience the panto from the comfort of their own classroom. Tickets are on sale here.

See Origins at Lismore Castle

Join Lismore Castle in exploring issues such as sexual politics, identity, equality and the female gaze through art. With a diverse range of perspectives and practices, Origins 2021 suggests that artists are very much engaged with some of the most important issues facing us today, and how we navigate pathways forward. The exhibition runs until December 5th and features the work of graduate artists from across the country and takes place at St Carthage Hall, Lismore, Waterford.
