Another weekend spent in the comforts of our homes doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. Thankfully In the modern world, there are plenty of things to keep us entertained, and not all of them have to be through the internet either. Here are our suggestions for the top things to do this weekend.

Lunch at the Jungle Café
The Jungle Café in Galway has one of the top outdoor seating areas around. It has a great selection of delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes to choose from too. So, if you’re desperate to get out of the house for a bit this weekend, make sure you pop in.
2. Tune in to Circuit 2020
Circuit 2020 is a collection of live performances in pop up venues around the city. All events will be intimate, safe and adhere to all current government and HSE guidelines. The live performances have been rescheduled, however the visual art programme will launch Friday, 16 October.
3. Try Out a Cocktail Recipe at Home
Everyone has a go-to cocktail, maybe even more than one. So why not try make it at home? Reese Witherspoon recently shared her go-to cocktail recipe on Instagram and has us inspired to try it out ourselves. There are plenty of recipes and tutorials to follow online. It’s the perfect time to perfect your mixing skills.
4. Try Out ‘Netflix Party’
Netflix Party is a programme you can download onto your pc and it allows you to watch a something on Netflix in sync with your friends. There’s a chatbox on the side too so you can relay your reactions right away. You feel like you have watched something together again.
5. Tune in to ‘Comedy Crossing: The Animal Crossing Standup Comedy Show’
This is an international online comedy show and anyone can stream it online for free. You don’t even have to know anything about Animal Crossing to enjoy this experience. It is essentially just a live standup show you can attend for free, it’s a win win. Be sure to tune in from 3-4:30pm on Friday 16 October.
