Trad on The Prom
Trad on the Prom is a contemporary Irish show featuring an electrifying mix of traditional Irish music, song, and dance. Shows run each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday night at Leisureland Theatre, Salthill, Galway. The show celebrates the passion of Ireland’s past with a contemporary production, featuring world-class music, song and dance derived from the pulsating energy that has survived from the dawn of Celtic mysticism to become the record-breaking phenomenon it is today.

Galway City Museum Workshop – Harvest Knots
Traditionally, at harvest time, young men and women wove decorative ‘harvest knots’ from ripe straw, which were exchanged as love tokens or worn as buttonholes. Join Brendan McGowan of Galway City Museum to learn more about this custom and have a go at making some different types of knots. As places are limited, advance booking is advised. Brendan Murray – If I’m Honest Tour Galway
Fresh from the success of a sell-out X Factor arena tour in February, Galway talent Brendan Murray is bringing his eagerly awaited solo tour to Ireland! The Galway leg of the tour hits the Black Box Theatre on Sunday, 30th June 2019. The show promises to be a concert for all ages with songs we grew to love from the X Factor as well as his own music. Concert-goers are reminded that this is a fully seated concert and under 14’s must be accompanied by an over 18.

Salthill Summer Market
The Salthill Summer Sunday Market returns again this weekend. Located beside the Prom car park, near the roundabout, in the heart of Salthill Village, the weekly market runs every Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm during the summer months. With an exciting mix of produce on offer, including gourmet crepes, Colleran’s Sausages, fresh fruit and veg, barista coffee, wood-fired pizza and a range of craft and gift items, there will be something to tempt everyone as you pull up a patch of grass and soak in the stunning views across Galway Bay. What better way to while away a few lazy hours on a summer Sunday, supporting local artisan producers all at the same time!
