International Medieval  Combat Tournament at Claregalway Castle 

On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th, battle returns to Claregalway Castle as members of the Irish Full Contact Medieval Combat Team prepare to face opposition from some of the world’s top fighters, clad from head to toe in steel medieval armour. There will be music, magicians, puppets, archery and much more at this family-friendly festival. The event runs from 11 am to 6 pm daily and admission is €10 for adults and €5 for children.

A Family Day Out at Galway’s Atlantaquaria

Galway Atlantaquaria is Ireland’s largest native species aquarium with over 100 species of marine life and over 70 exhibits. Showcasing information about their maritime history, conservation and stories of the sea, a visit to the aquarium is the perfect destination for a fun family day out! Prosecco Days at Tribeton

Every weekend, Tribeton host a bottomless prosecco experience from 12 pm to 3 pm with a maximum time per table of two hours. At €35 per person – including one main course from their daytime menu – with unlimited prosecco, it sounds like the perfect location for a girls day out this weekend! International Oyster & Seafood Festival

The last weekend of September sees one of the most internationally recognised Irish festivals of the year kicks off in Galway City from the 28th to the 30th of September. This year’s festival will host a wide range of foodie events taking place in some of Galway’s best restaurants, the Festival Marquee, a Mardi Gras style Gala event along with family activities, live music, cooking demonstrations and more. Try Out the New Menu at Caribou, Galway

Caribou Bar and Restaurant recently launched a new menu and our mouths are watering! Small bites include beef croquettes and crab toast or if you’re in the mood for something more indulgant, try out the lobster dog or a Southern fried mushroom taco! Not your average pub grub!
