Galway Science and Technology Festival

Sciene Fest

Sunday the 11th of November sees the start of the festivities, which will run up until the 25th. Showcasing Galway as a growing hub for science, technology, engineering and maths, the festival is Ireland’s premier promotion of STEM. The fantastic collaborations bring together Galway’s leading multinational and indigenous companies in technology, local third level institutes and government agencies.

Joanne McNally is one of Ireland’s rising comedy stars and on Saturday the 10th, she will be performing her Wine Tamer show in the Town Hall Theatre. As the former co-host of Republic of Telly and star of the stage show Separated At Birth, the comedian’s reputation certainly proceeds her.

Galway Indian Community’s Diwali celebration at the Menlo Park Hotel


On Saturday, November 10th from 5 pm, Galway Indian Community will be hosting an event for people to “enjoy Indian traditions, culture and food”. Diwali is the Indian Festival of Lights, celebrated with festivities, fireworks, and fabulous food. The aim is to sustain and pass on Indian culture and traditions to the next generation of Galwegians of Indian origin and to share this culture with all the people of Galway.
