This weekend is all about celebrating the little ones first week being back to school!

However, it’s not just about the kiddies. All of the moms and dads played a blinder this week getting back into the swing of things after the summer holidays. 1. Active Birth Workshop for Couples/Partners

This full-day workshop for expecting couples and partners takes place on Saturday at 10 am. The aim of the workshop is to inform, support and empower women and their partners. “A positive birth is NOT about the type of birth you want/have. It is about understanding the journey and how you view that journey.” Topics covered include the different stages of birth, the role of hormones during each stage, breathing, relaxation and so much more. 2. Parent and Baby Cinema: The Souvenir @ Pálás

The dedicated Parent and Baby screenings at Pálás gives you a chance to check out new releases without having to find a sitter or worrying that you’ll have to run for the door if the little one gets fussy. 4. Galway Atlantaquaria

Located on the Salthill Promenade, The National Aquarium Of Ireland overlooks Galway Bay. The aquarium is designed over two floors, where visitors follow a vivid interpretation of the Irish aquatic landscape. They have a wealth of marine life, each more special than the next, including bass, conger eel, seahorse, rays, and native shark species. There is even a 60ft skeleton of a Fin Whale and a 5500-year-old dugout canoe!
