It’s been a wet and rainy week, forcing us to spend our evenings after work indoors. However, some sunshine is promised over the next few days and we’re digging out the garden furniture for one last hurrah.

1. BRUNCH @ DELA
Located at 51 Lower Dominick Street in Galway’s West End, Dela Restaurant is the perfect spot for a delicious, hearty brunch. With both sweet and savory staple brunch options such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs benedict which can all be washed down with a freshly mixed bloody mary. We can’t recommend this eatery enough for a chilled weekend dining experience. Make sure you’re there early to avoid the queues!

2. ALPACA YOGA
Yes, you heard us right! The lovely people at Curraghduff Farm are opening up their doors this Friday for a yoga class with a twist. Let’s set the scene; beautiful views of nature, fresh air filling up your lungs, serene yoga poses, and ALPACAS. Yoga mats will be provided and the session will be suitable for complete beginners or experienced yogis. So head down to the farm, relax, unwind and enjoy this unique event with some gorgeous alpaca friends. Oh, and there will some yummy cake to finish!

3. STEVEN SHARPE LIVE ALBUM RECORDING
Steven Sharpe is undoubtedly one of Galway’s best-kept secrets. If you’re lucky enough to have witnessed him perform at one of Galway’s top venues then you will know the talent, energy, and fabulousness he exudes. His style, a unique blend of wit, soul, and humour makes for an enchanting experience guaranteed to have you singing and dancing along. Steven will be recording his new live album “The Realness of Miss Representation” in the Roisin Dubh on the 23rd and 24th of August. In the show, Sharpe takes an autobiographical look at being a 30 something gay man in a post yes equality Ireland. Each show has a limited capacity of 45, so get your tickets before they’re gone!

4. PETER PAN THE MUSICAL
Following the great summer musical shows over the past few years, Twin Productions are delighted to present a new version of the classic tale of ‘Peter Pan The Musical’. Join Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, and John in the highflying timeless West End musical that will whisk you away to Neverland. The place where dreams are born and no one ever grows up! The musical will run from the 21st August to the 25th August at the Town Hall Theatre. The perfect back-to-school treat for the little ones. 5. TEA ON THE LAWN
This Sunday, August 25th, Caherlistrane Kilcoona Community Council invites you to “Tea on the Lawn”. A family fun day on the gorgeous grounds of Castlehacket House. Make the sandwiches, pack the tea, grab a blanket, a comfy cushion, and head down to the green for a chilled afternoon with family and friends. There will be light refreshments, appetizers, face painting, lawn games and much more on offer at this community event. We’re told there’s going to be a might music session, open to all ages, so don’t forget your instruments!
