The Grey Willows Release Song for the ‘Alcock & Brown 100’ Festival In Clifden

The Grey Willows, a Galway based Contemporary Folk band have released a new song specially commissioned for The Alcock & Brown 100 Festival celebrating the first non-stop transatlantic flight from Newfoundland to Clifden.

The Grey Willows are an original Galway-based contemporary folk band featuring Niall Conroy (guitar, piano, bazouki), Yvonne Tiernan (vocals), Juliana Erkkonen (fiddle), John O’Dwyer (bass) & Miki Belton (drums).

A song-writing collective who bring together a rich influence of Americana, Folk, Trad, Rock, Classical & Bluegrass to create a beautiful melodic set of new folk songs. They are currently in studio recording their debut album. The CD was recorded at the Meadow Recording Studios, Wicklow and is engineered, mixed and mastered by the legendary engineer Brian Masterson.

The Single is called ‘Silvery Wings’ & the CD also features the song ‘All The Birds’.

The band will play live as part of the festival at 8pm on Wed 12th June at The Station House Hotel & 10pm on Fri 14th at The Abbeyglen Hotel, Clifden.
