Galway and the West of Ireland region was officially awarded a European Region of Gastronomy 2018 designation earlier this year, the first region in Ireland to receive this designation.

Inspired by the 2018 European Region of Gastronomy programme of events, a ‘Taste of Oranmore & Clarinbridge’ officially launched on August 17th. This is a three month programme of weekly events, showcasing the best food and beverage outlets in Oranmore and Clarinbridge.

The Oranmore Community Development Association has curated a 13-event programme by partnering with local businesses including Armorica, Basilico, Brazco, Galway Bay Golf Resort, Kate’s Cafe, Keane’s Bar, The Galway Hooker Brewery, The Maldron Hotel Oranmore, The Oranmore Lodge Hotel, Paddy Burke’s and The Porterhouse. Each event has a culinary topic and aims to educate and entertain whilst providing a great dining experience.

Details for all of the upcoming events can be found on the Facebook page ‘Taste of Oranmore & Clarinbridge’.
