“It was a tricky time for my husband and I to plan our wedding amid the lockdown. We started planning it before the pandemic by making a huge guest list. However, after the set guidelines was released, we had to cut it in half. During the lockdown, we had to stay away from our family and friends, as essential workers. Being apart for 108 days did not help with preparation. It broke our hearts not to be able to do our wedding as we planned but with the help of our family, the Deacon, the Abbey Hotel staff and along with a positive attitude, it minimised the stress of planning and we enjoyed our wedding day.”
