Go West, a conference & corporate event management company based in Galway, have been named as the Best Professional Conference Organiser in 2019 at the Event Industry Awards.

Launched in 2009, the Event Industry Awards celebrate excellence and showcase the very highest standards in Ireland’s event industry. The EIAs is the only awards programme to accolade this excellence. The gala awards ceremony took place on Friday, 19th July in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin. The event was attended by hundreds of leading industry figures and the past winners’ list which includes a who’s who of Ireland’s event industry.

Speaking on their award win Kathleen McDonagh commented, ”We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award, it is such a testament to all the work that is happening in the west of Ireland. We are always working towards promoting the west of Ireland and this truly is something we love doing and each new year we have strived to continually ensure that each event and conference exceeds expectations. Winning this award is a credit to all the team at Go West and all the external bodies, and businesses we work with.

Established in 1995 by owner/directors Kerry O’Sullivan and Kathleen Mc Donagh, the Go West team have worked on hundreds of National and International conferences providing a full range of conference management services. Go West is a member of the Association of Irish Professional Conference Organisers (AIPCO) and is one of a limited number of Companies approved by Fáilte Ireland as a Professional Conference Organiser. Go West employs a staff of six providing clients with conference and corporate event management solutions and support that save them resources and result in a better, more professional conference or event in Ireland.

Over the past 24 years, the Directors of Go West have been heavily involved in promoting Ireland as a tourist destination and a destination for International Meeting and Events.
