Calling all children of Game Of Thrones fanatical dads – now is your chance to give dad a Father’s Day gift he’ll never forget with a Game of Thrones themed trip to Belfast. Dads and fans of the show can enjoy an overnight stay in the beautiful Titanic Hotel, located next door to the Game of Thrones exhibition.
As well as Game of Thrones enthusiasts, history buffs will also enjoy the Titanic Hotel’s rich past. Located at the former headquarters of Harland and Wolff, builders of the ill-fated ship, the earliest parts of the hotel building date back to the 1880s. For over one hundred years, the offices were at the forefront of the designs of many of the world’s most famous ocean liners such as the RMS Olympic and RMS Britannic and the Royal Navy’s HMS Belfast to name a few.
Bond with dad on one of the historical tours of the hotel as you stroll through the Drawing Offices and half a dozen key heritage rooms within the hotel, which are open to the public for tours (subject to availability) so that the many special artefacts, restoration works and beautiful interiors of the maritime heritage building can be viewed. Highlights of the tour include access to Lord Pirrie’s Office, ‘The Corridor of Power’, the Presentation Room, and Thomas Andrews’ Office.
