February Beauty Round Up

beauty shot

With a little more time than usual to spend on skincare (thanks to lockdown), I have been discovering and rediscovering some beauty and skincare favourites. Here are 5 beauty essentials that I can’t live without at the moment.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

This was the first CeraVe product that I tried from this much hyped budget beauty brand. I have extremely sensitive, dry skin and find that a lot of cleansers strip away the natural moisture in my face. This cleanser has been such a fantastic find. Despite the fact that this cleanser removes tough makeup, my skin always feels clean and hydrated after use.

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Eye Concealer

An oldie but a goodie. I rediscovered this concealer during lockdown when I set my foundation aside and started to opt for a more natural (less time consuming) look. This product blends beautifully and has the perfect amount of coverage for the ‘my skin but better’ effect. This lightweight concealer is budget-friendly and a firm favourite in my beauty bag.

NYX Epic Ink Liner

The NYX Epic Ink Liner is touted as a dupe for the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. The fine-tipped liner pen has been an affordable staple in my everyday makeup bag for years. With a flexible and fine brush tip and waterproof formula this product can create everything from a heavy kohl look to the perfect winged flick. I like to use the brown shade instead of jet black for a softer, everyday look.

Bperfect – Mrs Glam Showstopper Palette

The Irish vlogger, Michelle Regazolli Stone, has created the perfect versatile palette that can be used as an everyday essential right through to night-time glam. With 10 mattes, 9 shimmers, 3 glitters and 2 marbled shadows, 1 cream shadow, 2 blushes, 1 highlight and a sculpting powder, it’s the perfect palette to bring on the go to any occasion. The colour pay-off from the shadows is right up there with higher brands, with little fallout and a seamless blend.

Daisy Love Eau So Sweet

I like a soft and sweet day-time scent and Daisy Love Eau So Sweet is one of my favourites. Top notes are white raspberry, bergamot and crystallised cranberries which give a stunning sweet freshness perfect for the spring/summer months ahead. This has been my favourite perfume from the Daisy collection for years, I find it lasts all day without being overpowering and also looks gorgeous on my vanity.
