Fashionista’s and racing enthusiasts get racing ready for ‘Frocks to Fillies’, an afternoon of
Style, Entertainment and a Luncheon hosted by TV3 Style guru, movie expert, businesswoman and a regular on the red carpet Lisa Cannon at the Ard Ri House hotel on Monday, 30th July kicking off the 2018 Galway Races Summer Festival, all in aid of Cortoon Community Crèche.
The glamorous afternoon sponsored by Patrice’s Art of Beauty, JJ Burke Car Sales, Legacy
Performance and Carried Away PR begins at 12 noon with a delectable gin and whiskey
reception while guests enjoy music followed by a delicious 4 course meal. Savoring the
delights from the kitchen guests will enjoy a fun afternoon with a few surprises throughout
the day. You will then get the opportunity to enjoy four of Ireland’s top milliner’s latest head-
turning pieces from award winning local girls Caithriona King, Michelle Kerins along with
Gillian Duggan and Derek Montgomery both having pieces in the top ten of the Galway races
as well as other best dressed competitions throughout the country. There will be racing tips
on hand provided by a surprise local tipster.

will be on hand to choose the Best Dressed Lady which is sponsored by Patrice’s Art of Beauty, and the Most Stylish Gentleman which is sponsored by Fallon’s Menswear. With live entertainment, impressive giveaways and plenty of familiar faces, ‘Frocks to Fillies’ promises to be a
delightful afternoon of entertainment before a private coach takes guests to Ballybrit for an
evening of exhilarating racing. Glamour meets goodwill as all monies raised from the event
will go towards Cortoon Community Crèche, our children are our future and we need to
ensure they are getting the best care and facilities. Cortoon Community crèche offers an
amazing facility with much open space for the children to play as well as fantastic staff
however funding in ensure ongoing improvement and development for the children is

Tickets for ‘Frocks to Fillies’ cost just €70 and include; drinks reception, 4 course lunch with
wine, coach transfer to and from the racecourse and entry to the race course. If you are only
interested in going along to the hotel for the Frocks to Fillies luncheon only tickets are €35.
