The arrival of any new season brings with it a slew of hot new fashion trends to work into our existing collections. And after a Winter filled with single digit temperatures and duvet-esque coats, we’re eagerly looking towards all the fabulous Spring fashion styles which are starting to fill our feeds. From super mini mini’s to cut-outs and sheer fabrics, sartorially speaking SS22 is looking set to be nostalgic and playful. Among all these fashion favourites, there is one stand out trend that we’re predicting will by far be the most popular: the Bold Colour Combo! Our mood can be positively impacted by the colours we wear and this season is all about dopamine dressing.
Bright, vibrant, “look at me” ensembles are set to dominate this season and we are here for it. Spring 22 is set to be a veritable rainbow of feel-good shades like yellow, orange, green, blue and hot pink. The real beauty of this trend, unlike others such as the 00’s throwback low-slung waists, is in the wearability. The braver amongst us might opt for head to toe colour blocking in contrasting bold colours but equally, a small splash of colour will go a long way. The addition of a cobalt handbag to your usual jeans and tee looks or a bright green sweater peeking out beneath a classic trench will look just as chic and trendy.
Our top tip for rocking the bold colour trend? Start small and stick to solid hues rather than prints and patterns, accessories are a great place to start. Above all else, have fun mixing and matching and don’t be afraid to experiment!
