NCAD graduate Julie Peelo started her career with Irish designer John Rocha in Dublin. She then moved to Milan to work on accessories for the luxury label MARNI and was subsequently headhunted by John Galliano to start his accessory line in Paris. After this, Diane Von Furstenberg brought Julie to New York to create a handbag and accessory division for DVF. While in New York, she also worked on the re-invention of the Juicy Couture brand. Following a move home to Ireland, Julie became design director for Ireland’s largest retailer. In 2020, Julie launched her Dublin design studio and her own contemporary bag and accessories brand PEELO. This premium brand is designed in Dublin, made in Europe and worn around the world. Bags designed by Julie have been worn by numerous celebrities such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Biel.
