It’s been 64 years since the establishment of the popular Clarenbridge Oyster Festival,
which takes place from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October 2018. This year’s festival is kindly
sponsored by Colm Quinn BMW and, as always, guests can look forward to a packed
schedule of fantastic foodie festivities.
Wednesday 3rd October
Enjoy a delicious five-course Wild Atlantic meal created by five prominent Galway chefs at
the opening function of what promises to be an amazing festival.
Thursday 4th October
At 8pm, the Festival Marquee at Paddy Burke’s will pay host to a spectacular Fashion Show
in conjunction with Catwalk Modelling Agency. Tickets, priced at €20 and including a
prosecco reception at 7.30pm can be purchased at Paddy Burke’s, Jordan’s or Clarenbridge
Friday 5th October
Cuan Beo will host a free Ocean Wealth Awareness presentation suitable for all ages.
Saturday 6th October
Festival Pearl, Emma Green, will bring the world famous oysters into the marquee in an
eclectic celebration of the native oyster. Ollie Turner will be MC for the day and there will be
outstanding entertainment provided by Atlantic Rhythm (of Ireland’s Got Talent fame);
Abbaesque; Sean Slattery and the Connections. Tickets are €80 with a limited number of
corporate tables available for groups of 10.
Sunday 7th October
The final day of the festival will be a Family Fun Day with amazing live music, games and
activities taking place throughout the day, such as the Fifa Games Mobile Truck and the ever
