This year, Cois Cladaigh’s Christmas concert entitled “Christmas Trees” will take place in St. Nicholas’ Collegiate Church at 8.00pm Saturday, December 15th in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Cois Cladaigh’s Christmas concerts do not fit the normal style of this season’s choral events as they do not feature traditional, well-known carols and there are no readings. The choir seeks out lesser-known compositions and arrangements of Christmas music from around the world and Cois Cladaigh’s festive concerts have become an integral part of the Galway Christmas musical calendar.

Money raised from the event will go to Breast Cancer Research formally the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, a national charity based in Galway who fundraise to support teams of researchers based at the Lambe Institute NUI, Galway lead by Professor Michael Kerin.

Tickets for this very special concert are €15 each or €10 with concession and are available from The National Breast Cancer Research office at 091 863917 or by calling Brendan on 086 2417468.
