Breathing new fire into RTÉ’s Dragons’ Den, Loughrea native Chanelle McCoy is setting the business world alight. Wife of AP McCoy, mother to Eve and Archie, and  Director of Chanelle Medical Veterinary, she is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

The mum-of-two sat alongside veteran mentors Gavin Duffy, Barry O’Sullivan, Alison Cowzer and Eleanor McEvoy throughout season seven which aired on our screens in recent weeks. Tipping the gender balance in their favour, it’s the first ever trio of women in the international history of the business series.

After years of cheering on her husband on the racing circuit, and well-known in social circles as the wife of the national hunt’s most celebrated jockey, Chanelle is focusing on her career while AP gets used to playing a more supportive role. As a director of Chanelle Medical, a Galway-based pharmaceutical firm with over 400 staff and an annual turnover of more than €100million, Chanelle certainly is a business success in her own right.
