Basilico’s restaurant manager Fabiano Mulas and his wife Valerie have realised their lifelong dream of owning a farm by recently announcing their acquisition of Derrykeel Home Farm.
They plan to grow a wide variety of fruit and vegetables to bring even more seasonal delights to Basilico’s ever-changing menu. In 2016 Basilico became the only Italian restaurant in the west of Ireland, and one of only a handful of restaurants in Galway, to receive the AA Rosette award.
Having successfully retained the accolade again for 2018, the team are proud of their achievements and are extremely excited about the future. Their new bistro menu offers all the Basilico classics, including the hugely popular pizza and pasta dishes which are now synonymous with the restaurant.
