On Sunday, May 29th, The Lodge at Ashford Castle once again hosted the highly successful Pink Afternoon supporting the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. This year’s event was sponsored by DeCare Dental Insurance Ireland. A highlight of the social calendar each year, the event, organised by the charity’s Galway Fundraising Committee, is one of their flagship annual fundraisers.
X Factor star Mary Byrne was the guest speaker at this year’s ‘Pink Afternoon’ which took place in the stunning surrounds of The Lodge at Ashford Castle. Mary spoke about her inspiring life journey from Tesco checkout girl to London’s West end plus the many highs and lows she experienced along the way. Mary also performed for the lucky guests in attendance on the day.
