Irish jewellery store, Stonechat Jewellers, is bringing its re-modelling service to Galway. Stonechat Jewellers will take older, unwanted or inherited pieces of jewellery and turn them into something much more beautiful and wearable than before. From years-old pieces found in a drawer, worn out engagement rings, inherited and sentimental pieces, Stonechat Jewellers can completely remodel jewellery into a whole new design, thus preserving and reusing the original materials.

Due to the demand for this service, Stonechat Jewellers are doing regional remodelling events and the first one is in Galway. You can have a free consultation with a qualified goldsmith who will advise on design options and potential. Meet us at The Galmont Hotel (formerly the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa) just off Eyre Square on Friday, April 13th, Saturday, April 14th and Sunday 16th from 9-6. Each appointment will take about an hour.

Nationally renowned, Stonechat Jewellers are doing this service for five years now and have built up a loyal customer base of happy clients. Based in the Westbury Mall in Dublin, Stonechat Jewellers employs five goldsmiths, who can redesign a piece to your taste and budget. Broken-Wedding-Ring_High-Res.jpg new

Stonechat clients make something beautiful, different and completely unique from their unused and unwanted jewellery. Ann Chapman and her team of four goldsmiths will use their combined years of experience to draw and design a unique, new piece. Her relaxed and friendly manner ensures an enjoyable and expert consultation.

An unwanted ball of chains can become a stylish bangle and all with no new materials used. Unwanted gemstones can be remade in a more sensitive or spectacular way. A big part of their business is preserving jewellery because of the sentimental attachment to it. Grandparents wedding rings and remade for a few members of the next generation so all of them can share in the heritage and the romance of the keepsake. Jewellery lives on after the wearer is no longer with us and their favourite pieces and can be shared and remade for a more contemporary taste. Nothing is wasted – gold, semi and precious stones are renewed and refashioned.

This remodelling practice is also environmentally friendly too as it decreases the global demand for newly mined gold. Because precious metals can be recycled repeatedly without degradation in quality, they are a naturally renewable resource.

As individual consultations are key to the success and personalization of each piece, they are offering appointments between 10am and 6pm on each day. To book an appointment contact 01 671 01 03 or email shop@stonechatjewellers.ie
