For Autumn Winter, River Island has something for everyone, unique and directional trends lead the high street with touches of glam rock, vintage chic and street cool.

Fit for any occasion, sophisticated or lowkey, radiant fabrics and elaborate textures will wow day or night. Versatile separates mixed with a dynamic array of colours, ambiguous prints and RI statement embellishment will empower every woman to be the best version of themselves. 80’s stands to attention with vivid tones and monochromatic graphics.

The vibrant colour palette of intense oranges and bright blues are styled with a powerful mix of sultry animal and chain prints. Faux fur, studs and patent are at the forefront, tipped with ruffles, frills and bows. Statement accessories are key with oversized baker boy hats, supersized disc earrings and dazzling leather gloves completing the collection. Structured checks and impressive faux fur combine to create HERITAGE.

Warm tan, browns and muted beiges are revamped into suit dressing with added pops of colour, patent textures in utility brown and transparent plastics. Modern maxi skirts and leather trousers have been given a vintage spin with classic paper-bag waistlines and vintage checks. BIJOU brings a melange of contrasting prints and textures for AW18, bringing with it dark tropical prints and rich colours. Sumptuous velvets and super soft faux fur are incorporated in to the collection, styling deep magenta bow-knotted headscarves with exotic clashing printed outerwear to create a raw modern take on antique patterns.

Victoriana style shirts are reconstructed to add lace and mesh fabrics, whilst pastel pink feathers have been used to update blouses. Deep emeralds, claret and golds are encrusted in to chandelier earrings and mini chain clutch bags for added opulence.

For STREET CHIC, denim is revived, whilst sportswear is given an upgrade and statement knits are thrown into the mix. Denim is focal and revamped with embellishment, studding and ‘RI’ emblazoned with the RI logo. Borrowed from other trends, chain print becomes a true wardrobe staple – cerise pink and flamingo red are key hues within the trend. Studs and geometrics are toyed with to add detail and interest on skirts and jumpers, while tracksuits ooze 90’s style with popper sided trackies, tipped jogging bottoms and lycra cropped hoodies. Chunky trainers add to the sportswear luxe desire, with fur pom-poms and circular handle bags. A mix of textures and styles are key to this trend.

Ostentatious accessorizing is essential with baroque chain belts paired with fierce leopard print mules whilst boots take centre stage from glamourous thigh highs to relaxed and slouchy, for a polished look and chic look heels are lowered for a timeless feel. Plus and petite have mirrored main range trends for Autumn Winter, classic RI denim and chunky faux fur knits are reflected in the collection for all sizes. Colours and textures have been broadened in time for the season’s overhaul of an autumnal worthy wardrobe.
